L’Association des joueurs sous contrat (VVCS), un syndicat néerlandais représentant les footballeurs professionnels, a exprimé son soutien à l’action collective menée par la fondation Justice for Players (JfP) contre la KNVB, la FIFA et plusieurs fédérations nationales de football. Depuis 1961, la VVCS défend les intérêts des footballeurs et footballeuses professionnels aux Pays-Bas et est affiliée à la Fédération néerlandaise des syndicats (FNV).

Après un examen approfondi de l’initiative portée par « Justice for Players », le Comité directeur de l’UNFP a décidé à l’unanimité de rejoindre la class action lancée par la fondation néerlandaise en qualité de codemandeur, avec deux objectifs prioritaires.

Justice for Players welcomes FIFPro Europe’s statement commending our practical response to the CJEU’s Diarra Judgement, which gave the green light to this class action against FIFA.

Both of our organisations believe that effective centralised representation is in the best interest of professional footballers and it is this shared vision that is driving these legal proceedings.

We are committed to building on our relationship with FIFPro Europe and being a force for good that prioritises footballers’ welfare and the sustainable future of football.
